Diane von Furstenberg Gallery
Unique Print NY printed a series of booklets for a pop-up art exhibition organized by designer Diane von Furstenberg and artist Ashley Longshore, in honor of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month. The exhibit features paintings and artwork by Longshore, featuring 37 influential women—Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou, Mother Teresa, Elizabeth Taylor, Cher, and Wonder Woman, to name a few.
Our client at the DVF Gallery reached out via email on a Monday afternoon, and let us know that they need 1,000 stapled booklets printed by Wednesday—in two days. While they were unsure if we could get all 1,000 copies done in time, this was no problem for our team.
The project was to print a set of saddle stitch booklets (stapled) to serve as catalogs for the art pieces on display. Our team helped revise the original design files to optimize for printing, and suggested sizing that would allow for a quick turnaround. After finalizing a custom plan for the client, we quickly sent a digital proof back within a couple of hours, and worked through revisions until we had final approval.
The finished booklets were promptly delivered directly to the client in time for the show’s opening. Our client was satisfied with our fast turnaround and the quality of our work, and returned for a follow-up order of an additional 1,000 booklets, which we then delivered the next day.
The DVF x Ashley Longshore exhibit is on display at the Diane von Furstenberg flagship store at 874 Washington Street from March through May 2019.
