Can I get a sample printed before placing an order?

Yes, we can provide physical proofs. We want you to know what your finished project will look and feel like, so you can always stop by our shop to review a sample in person, or get it delivered to you.

Do you offer same-day printing?

Yes, we can often accommodate same-day orders and rush print jobs. You’ll be surprised at our fast turnaround, sometimes ready within hours! Submit your project and we’ll get back to you to confirm your order and pick-up time.

What is the best format to send my files?

PDF files are preferred. Print-ready PDFs are always the best format to supply for printing projects. PDFs will maintain sizing and resolution information. JPG, EPS, PNG, and TIF files should be converted to PDF before uploading.

What are bleeds, and why do my design files need them?

Bleed is the industry term for any color or image that goes right to the edge of the paper. What actually happens is that the picture or graphic extends 1/8" (.125") beyond the edge of the page, and that excess image or color is then cut off during the binding or finishing process.

Text or images that are not meant to be trimmed off the edge of your final printed product must be extended 1/8"-1/4" (.125"-.25") from the edge of your layout. Items placed 1/8" (.125") or closer to the edge are in danger of being trimmed off or creating inconsistent margins.

I don’t have my designs ready. Can I request a quote or place an order?

Planning ahead is always a good idea. If you know that you have a project coming up, feel free to give us a heads up and we can always provide you with a quote. Need help with your designs? We can assist with that too.

What type of paper stocks do you carry?

We carry several different paper types, but most will fall into two categories. Within each category we carry paper with two types of finishes: Silk / Dull (semi-gloss coating on the paper) & Smooth / Matte (no coating on the paper).

  • Cover Stock (Thick heavy card stock)
Ex: 100 lb Smooth Cover – “100 lb” (100#) refers to the thickness of the paper. The higher the number the thicker the paper.

  • Text Stock (Thinner Paper similar to pages of a book)
Ex: 100 lb Silk Text – Again the “100 lb” (100#) refers to the weight. Note 100# Text and 100# Cover are not the same thickness.
